Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions Introduces New Executive Management

August 29, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions Inc. (PLES) introduced its senior management team, led by Chief Executive Officer William C. Tauber and Randy J. Parole, President. The company states that it helps California businesses reduce energy consumption and save money with energy-efficient commercial and industrial lighting systems. PLES also increases clients’ eligibility for maximum state energy rebates and other government tax incentives.

"More than 90 percent of U.S. businesses still rely on incandescent lights from hardware suppliers as their primary lamp provider," Tauber said. "Nearly 85 percent of businesses use outdated lamps and ballasts, due to lack of education and knowledge about the enormous savings afforded by energy-efficient lighting designs and the availability of affordable alternatives. After working with Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions to develop and install energy-saving lighting, customers have become eligible for utility energy rebates, often receiving checks in the five-digit figures."

Tauber founded PLES in 2004, and now assumes the chief executive position. In this evolved role, he plans and leads the strategic direction of the company, drawing upon his expertise with lighting-reduction projects and photovoltaic (solar) lighting. Tauber has been involved in the energy-conservation industry since 1999. He previously owned TSN Marketing, an international marketing services company helping clients build brands by promoting healthy aging and wellness. He also is a veteran of the cable television industry, serving as President of a midsize cable network, The Silent Network.

Parole was promoted to president of PLES, after joining the company in May 2006 as Executive Vice President. As President, Parole works closely with Tauber to oversee the company’s operations, financials and business development. He brings solid credentials and 27 years of experience working with businesses to improve lighting and energy consumption for commercial buildings.

Prior to PLES, Parole served as regional VP of Amtech Lighting Services, managing finances and operations for the company’s $30 million Southwest U.S. region. Before that, he was President of Lighting Management Systems, a commercial lighting retrofit and energy services business. He also was branch manager of ABM Lighting Services’ Anaheim, California location.
