PowerDsine Unveils New Partner Program

September 29, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

PowerDsine Ltd. (Farmingdale, NY), a leading provider of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology, announced its new partnership program to provide value-added resellers (VARs), system integrators and distributors with a range of incentives, rewards and support to help them market and sell PowerDsine's standard-compliant PoE midspans successfully.

The PowerDsine Preferred VAR Program has been designed to educate partners about the benefits of the midspans and the importance of their compliance with the 802.3af PoE standard, which was approved by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Standards board on June 12, 2003.

The Preferred VAR Program will support the PowerDsine 6000 product family, which consists of midspans with 1, 6, 12 and 24 ports that allow existing Ethernet switches to become PoE-enabled without replacing the entire switch, and provide partners worldwide with the opportunity to benefit from higher margin sales and attractive incentives for larger, more strategic deals. The program will offer partners discounts on midspans, potential additional discounts for design registrations, access to marketing collateral, co-marketing support and discounted demo units.
