Power Paper to Provide Power for Hasbro Smart Toys

November 10, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Power Paper Ltd. (Tel-Aviv, Israel), a provider of thin and flexible micro-power source technology and devices, announced that it has entered into an agreement with Hasbro Inc. to provide access to its micro-power source technology for use in future lifestyle toys and games. Power Paper’s micro-power source technology enables the power source to be designed around the product, rather than designing a product around the battery. The first of Hasbro’s micro-power-enabled smart toys is expected to reach shelves in 2003.

"We’re thrilled to be aligned with Hasbro, one of the world’s leading toy and game manufacturers," said Shalom Daskal, Power Paper CEO. "With this agreement, Hasbro has given a vote of confidence to our PowerNovelties division and to Power Paper’s micro-power source technology as an enabler of future toys, games and other applications."
