Power Integrations Appoints Nicholas Brathwaite to Board of Directors; Reports First-Quarter Results

Power Integrations Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) has appointed Nicholas Brathwaite to its board of directors as senior vice president and CTO of Flextronics International. In this position, Brathwaite is responsible for integrating engineering and technology solutions across global operations.

Brathwaite has worked in global engineering and technology management at Power Integrations for over 15 years. Prior to his new position, he was vice president of operations at nCHIP, where he oversaw water fabrications, silicon circuit board testing and multi-chip module assembly.

Brathwaite holds three patents and has authored more than 60 national and international publications.

The company also announced their first quarter results for the period ended March 31, 2000. Power Integrations reported a net revenue of $28.0 million compared to net revenues of $20.8 million for 1999. Net income before tax was $6.2 million, or 22.1 percent of net revenues, as compared to $5.2 million, or 24.9 percent of net revenues in the first quarter of 1999.

First-quarter earnings per share, on a diluted basis, were $0.17 on approximately 28.9 million shares outstanding. This compares with $0.18 on approximately 27.4 million shares outstanding in the first quarter.
