Permanent Magnet Technology may Change Motor & Generator Designs
AML Superconductivity & Magnetics (AML) has completed successful development and testing of its permanent magnet manufacturing technology, PM-Wire™ that is postioned to fundamentally change the way electric motors and generators are designed, manufactured and used across industries worldwide.
Today, despite a global transition from fossil fuel-based transportation to more efficient and clean electric vehicles, aircraft, and vessels for moving people and goods, significant limitations in magnet technology are keeping major producers across industries from realizing their potential in revenue, market, and environmental impact.
The breakthrough approach represented by PM-Wire increases performance for permanent magnet-based products like electric motors and generators, so they can achieve the highest possible power density and specific torque resulting in the lowest possible weight and highest efficiency at a cost far less than any existing solution.
