April 01, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Millennium Cell Inc. (Eatontown, NJ) and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL, Oak Ridge, TN) announced the successful completion of a beta test program designed to evaluate Millennium Cell's Hydrogen-on-Demand technology. The beta test program was managed by UT-Battelle LLC under contract with the US Department of Energy (DOE), and required that Oak Ridge evaluate the Hydrogen-on-Demand technology for potential use in near-term portable power generation applications.

“We are pleased to learn of the successful completion of the beta test program by Oak Ridge National Laboratory,” said Curt Cornell, Millennium Cell vice president, business development and administration. “It is especially noteworthy that Oak Ridge's results have shown the feasibility of using our Hydrogen-on-Demand technology in providing hydrogen to portable fuel cell applications.”
