Nu Horizons and AKM Semi Announce Distribution Agreement for Analog and Mixed Signal Products

Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. and AKM Semiconductor, Inc. (AKM), the U.S. subsidiary of Asahi Kasei EMD Corp., announced an exclusive North American partnership agreement. This agreement encompasses the distribution of AKM’s analog and mixed signal products within the United States, Canada and Mexico.

AKM manufactures over 150 digital audio conversion integrated circuits (ICs), including ADC’s, DAC’s, CODEC’s, digital interface circuits and audio DSP’s. AKM also provides low-power Class-D amplifiers, audio/video switches, and multimedia clocking IC’s. AKM is a supplier of portable video IC’s, as well as mixed-signal solutions for wired and wireless communications.
