NetPower Expands Distribution Network

July 30, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

NetPower Technologies Inc. announced the continuation of the expansion of their distribution sales channel by signing two European distributors, U.K. based Powerstax plc and German based, AmpPower, GmBH Components and Systems.

"We are expanding our European presence with the addition of Powerstax and AmpPower, two quality power distributors," said Ed Wiest, NetPower's Director of Sales. "Our European sales channel expansion is key to our global sales growth strategy," he added, "having local sales support is critical for every customer."

NetPower also signed a distribution agreement with PowerGate, LLC for the North American territory. PowerGate is a young power distributor headquartered in Santa Clara California, founded by industry veterans, Paul Christiansen and Ed Kramer.

"We believe Paul and Ed have created another successful power distributor that will help us increase our market penetration," said Yimin Jiang, NetPower's President. "We are looking to grow with them as they increase their customer base, allowing us to continue expanding our presence within the power industry."

Currently, PowerGate is focused on the California territory. Their ultimate goal is to provide complete coverage across the United States, starting with their expansion to the New England market. PowerGate's line card consists of manufacturers whose products, taken collectively, seek to provide a complete solution for today's power systems.

"NetPower fills a critical power need on our line card," said Paul Christiansen, PowerGate's President. He added, "We are looking forward to selling NetPower's high performance products as a key component of the solution we offer to our customers."
