Microsemi Corp. (Irvine, CA) has received a $4.5 million, two-year contract from a European-based global systems, defense and aerospace company. Microsemi will supply military-grade products from all of its four product groups - power conditioning discretes, power management, transient protection and RF/microwave. The contract can expand to about $6.5 million.
"Microsemi sees long-term military/aerospace spending increasing at an above average rate," commented Jim Peterson, CEO. The company recently completed acquisitions of New England Semiconductor and Compensated Devices Inc., which were key elements in obtaining the contract.
