Micrel Names Micrel Veteran Chris Dingley Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Micrel Inc. announced that Chris Dingley, Director of Micrel’s Global Account and Western Sales Territory, has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Worldwide Sales. In his new role, Dingley has responsibility for the company’s global sales efforts.

"Chris is a veteran Micrel employee who has exhibited hard work and a strong devotion to the Company. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the Company, in particular managing Micrel’s worldwide distribution network for seven years and growing sales revenues to both Tier 1 Global accounts and the Western region during his tenure," noted Ray Zinn, President and CEO, Micrel. "With his extensive knowledge of the inner workings of Micrel, and his long term sales and industry expertise, we are looking forward to Chris’s contributions in his newly expanded role at Micrel."

Dingley has more than 22 years experience in the semiconductor industry. He joined the company in June 1997 as Director of Global Distribution and was then named Director of Global Distribution and EMS. He was then promoted to position of Director of Micrel’s Western Sales Territory including Global Account responsibility for Cisco. Prior to joining Micrel, Dingley was Distribution Manager for Winbond North America. Before this, he held the positions of Area Sales Manager and Distribution Sales Manager with General Instrument.
