Magnetek Announces Key Management Appointments

Magnetek, Inc. has announced further key management appointments, following the company’s restructuring and corporate headquarters relocation from California to Wisconsin.

Edward Butte has been named Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Communications Power Systems Division. A career Magnetek employee, Butte has served in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President of Product Management and Strategic Initiatives and Vice President, Energy Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Succeeding Butte as Vice President, Energy Systems, is William Weber with more than 25 years of experience in the development of new products for industrial and commercial markets. Prior to his promotion, Weber directed Magnetek’s Research and Development group, previously having served as Senior Project Manager for Eaton Navy Controls Division and Program/Department Manager for Rockwell Automation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

Succeeding Weber is Richard Wilder, who has joined Magnetek as Director of Research and Development. Wilder brings to the company over 20 years of experience in the development of new hardware and software products, having held R&D positions at Rockwell Automation, ABB Drives Inc. and Allen Bradley. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
