LTC Receives Order for Military Battery Packs

The GAIA unit of Lithium Technology Corp. (LTC, Plymouth Meeting, PA), an early production stage rechargeable lithium battery manufacturer, announced receipt of a purchase order from Estari Corp., a high-end laptop manufacturer, to assemble an initial 100 90Wh run time custom battery packs for a military personal computer application.

The purchase order is for Estari's 2-VU™ personal computer, which is a laptop featuring two 15in screens that unfold to display information in a layout resembling a book. Each laptop is powered by two lithium-ion battery packs - one for each screen. Estari has received orders for the 2-VU™ from both commercial and military customers.
