Littelfuse, Inc. has signed a new business cooperation agreement with Polytronics Technology Corporation that expands the relationship between the two companies. Littelfuse has a minority investment in Polytronics, a designer and maker of polymer PTC circuit protection components.

\"The extended relationship with Polytronics is a good strategic fit for Littelfuse,\" said Gordon Hunter, chief executive officer of Littelfuse. \"As part of the agreement, we will work with Polytronics to jointly develop new PTC circuit protection products. The agreement also adds Polytronics\' broad range of axial and radial PTC devices to our existing surface mount PTC offering and Littelfuse\'s extensive circuit protection product portfolio, further enhancing the value we bring to our customers.\"

The PTC products offered by Littelfuse and Polytronics are used to protect against over-current conditions in consumer electronics, computer, telecom, mobile power and other electronic applications.

Littelfuse had sales of $500.2 million in 2004. The company\'s circuit protection products are found in automobiles, computers, consumer electronics, handheld devices, industrial equipment and telecom/datacom circuits.
