Kyocera Wireless Corp. (San Diego, CA), a global manufacturer of CDMA wireless handsets and telemetry modules, has appointed Harsh Karande as its new Vice President of Operations. Karande, who joined the company in 2001, was previously senior director of manufacturing. Since December 2003, he has overseen global operations for the company in San Diego, CA; Tijuana, Mexico; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Hyderabad, India; and will continue this role in his new executive capacity.

"Harsh began directing operations during the most productive quarter in our company's four-year history, and he's since refined processes and created efficiencies reaching even greater levels of production," said Tsuyoshi Mano, president of Kyocera Wireless. "I have every confidence that in his new role as Vice President of Operations, Harsh's depth of manufacturing experience and demonstrated operational effectiveness will continue to yield positive results for our business."
