KEMET Names Graves VP of Technology

KEMET Corp. (Greenville, SC)

announced that Dr. Jeffrey Graves has been named Vice President of Technology.

Previously, Graves worked for General Electric Corp. in various management roles in their corporate research and development center and power systems division. He received a Ph.D. and M.S. in metallurgical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and a B.S. in metallurgical engineering from Purdue University.

"While this year is very challenging as the electronics industry experiences its most significant downturn in history, a foundation of KEMET's strategy is to maintain consistent, long-term investments in research and development to stay on the leading-edge of technology in the capacitor industry," said KEMET chairman and CEO David E. Maguire. "The addition of Dr. Graves will continue to strengthen our technology development programs. We are delighted to have someone with his background and experience on the KEMET Team."
