Intertech Presents Power Electronics Seminar Series

January 28, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Intertech Corp. (Portland, ME) announced a series of three independent sessions on "The Fundamentals of Power Electronics," which will be presented March 26-27, May 1-2 and June 4-5, 2002, at the Crystal City Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC.

The three-part power electronics seminar series is filled with information - participants can attend any one, or all three sessions for complete training. Session one will serve as a primer for the following two sessions and provide attendees with an overview of the power electronics industry. During session two, instructors will illustrate the use of design tools in a practical environment - components, devices and topologies, as well as development of a power stage. Participants in session three will learn the issues of designing circuits for electromagnetic compliance, practices that can cause EMI/EMC problems, and methods to improve overall system performance such as shielding and filtering to attenuate the coupling path.
