Gregory Williams Joins AMI Semiconductor's BOD

AMI Semiconductor (AMIS, Pocatello, ID) announced that Gregory Williams has been appointed to its board of directors. Williams is the executive chairman of Intersil Corp.'s (Irvine, CA) board of directors. Previously, Williams was president and CEO of Intersil, where he managed Intersil's successful spin off from Harris Corp. and also led Intersil's initial public offering in February 2000.

Chris King, president and CEO of AMIS, said, "I am delighted that Greg Williams has agreed to join AMI Semiconductor's board of directors. Not only does he bring us outstanding leadership in the semiconductor industry but Greg will make significant contributions to the AMIS strategy and will help us build a stronger company.
