Greenlight Subsidiary Expands Product Line

April 18, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Greenlight Power Technologies Inc. (Toronto, Canada), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hydrogenics Corp. (Toronto, Canada), announced the expansion of its next-generation G-Series fuel cell test station product line. The Fuel Cell Automated Test Systems (FCATS™) are used by many fuel cell development programs to meet expanding fuel cell testing requirements.

The expanded platform now includes four new models, each designed to meet the needs of specific fuel cell test markets. The FCATS G50 expands Greenlight's product offerings in the single-cell and component research and development testing niche. It is designed to offer accuracy and reliability for testing in low-power ranges. Greenlight has already received an order for five G50 test stations from one of its automotive customers.

The expanded G-Series product line also includes the FCATS G300, designed to meet the needs of customers testing large-area single cells or short stacks, between 0.5 kW to 4 kW, and the FCATS G700, a high-power, general-purpose test station designed to test full automotive stacks in the 10 kW to 100 kW power range. The first product in the G-Series product line, the FCATS G500, is a general-purpose test station designed to test stacks in the 2 kW to 12 kW range.
