Global Thermoelectric Inc. (Canada) announced the delivery of a prototype 2.3kW residential fuel cell system to Enbridge Inc. (Canada). Global and Enbridge entered into a strategic alliance in July of 2000 to commercialize residential fuel cell systems in Canada.
Enbridge will be testing the natural-gas-powered system at its facilities to evaluate various performance characteristics, including heat recovery, to meet residential hot water needs. The results of the testing will be incorporated in subsequent prototype designs.
