General Semiconductor Inc. (Melville, NY) announced a strategic alliance with Analog Integrations Corp. (AIC, Taiwan). General Semiconductor said it aims to broaden its portfolio of analog power management ICs.

The company will market AIC’s existing portfolio of low-dropout regulators, buck/boost regulators and controllers. The companies said they would also jointly develop analog products for the power management market.

"Teaming up with a global partner like General Semiconductor will enhance the market penetration of our existing product portfolio," said Albert Lee, president of AIC. "Furthermore, by working closely with General Semiconductor on developing future products we will better serve our customers in the global analog IC market."
