Fairchild Semiconductor International (South Portland, ME) announced it has completed the acquisition of Toko Inc.'s (Japan) data conversion business and its design center, Signal Processing Technologies Inc. (SPT, Colorado Springs, CO) for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition adds to Fairchild's growing analog and mixed-signal product offering.

"This acquisition will deepen Fairchild's penetration into growing product applications, particularly in the consumer, communications and instrumentation fields," said Kirk Pond, president, CEO and chairman of the board of Fairchild Semiconductor. "In five short years, Fairchild has developed its analog products business from zero to more than $300.0 million annually. This acquisition adds key products to our analog portfolio and will further drive our analog success story. This is another step in Fairchild's two-pronged strategy to grow through acquisitions and new product development."
