Exide Technologies (Princeton, NJ) reports that it has sold its lead-acid battery-recycling facility in Pont-Saint-Maxence, France, to a subsidiary of Eco-Bat Technologies plc (UK), owned by Quexco Inc. (Dallas, TX), for an undisclosed price.

“The sale will allow Exide Technologies to consolidate our recycling efforts in Europe and concentrate production at our four facilities in Spain and Portugal,” commented Exide President and COO Craig Muhlhauser.
