Exar Strengthens Presence in Power Management

Exar Corp. announced that Dr. Zaki Moussaoui has joined the Company as Division Vice President, Power Systems Architecture. Dr. Moussaoui will report to Louis DiNardo, the Company’s president and chief executive officer.

"Zaki is a seasoned power management expert who will help to drive our market focus and product development effort," said Mr. DiNardo. "His ability extends beyond programmable power and high performance analog power solutions to encompass growing markets in data communications, LED control, and integrated power modules. As we scale and align our workforce with our market focus, Zaki will be invaluable in our effort to select markets and define differentiated solutions for our customers’ most challenging requirements," added Mr. DiNardo.

Dr. Moussaoui has over 20 years of experience and joins Exar after a long career at Intersil Corporation where he worked as Senior Manager and Systems Architect for advanced power products. Previously, he worked for Unipower Corporation in Florida and started two successful companies. Dr. Moussaoui earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, his Master’s degree in Control Systems, and Ph.D. in Power Electronics at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Moussaoui has 60 patents and applications in the design and development of power electronics products.
