December 21, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Ericsson Power Modules (Sweden) has celebrated its 20th anniversary as a leading manufacturer of dc/dc modules. With its focus on the communications market, the company designs, manufactures and markets products for advanced applications such as radio base stations and switches/routers. In 1981, an advanced design facility for miniaturized dc/dc converters was established and in 1983 the first products were shipped to the market.

Marketing Director Patrick Le Fevre stated, "We are proud to have been at the forefront of power modules and to have introduced so many ground-breaking technologies and manufacturing techniques over the last 20 years. We will continue to invest in research and development in order to maintain our position as a leader in the field. Particularly, the work we have done in the lead-free area stands out as a major achievement."
