EnerSys Announces New Asian Management/Offices

EnerSys Inc. (Reading, PA) announced a new senior management team that will be dedicated to serving the company’s rapidly expanding Asian customer base. The company also announced the locations of new offices throughout the region to help better serve the $600 million Asian industrial battery market with both products and a full range of technical support services.

The new EnerSys management team for Asia includes Hilson Kung, Sales Director China; Henry Lau, General Manager South East Asia; Koji Suzuki, General Manager Japan; Rob Cochrane, Sales Director Korea/Taiwan; and the appointment of a general manager for Australia and New Zealand is said to be imminent. The sales and marketing team reports to Jean-Luc Dubrulle, president of EnerSys Asia. EnerSys also announced the appointment of Charles Ho Chau Wah as Director of Operations for its two Asian manufacturing facilities located in China at Shenzhen and Jiangsu.

EnerSys Chairman, President and CEO John Craig stated, "Our commitment to our customers worldwide includes investing our resources to provide better service and support as well as quality products. EnerSys’ expansion in Asia is a key part of our overall strategy. We will continue to invest in areas that will enable us to more effectively serve our customers."
