Emerson Network Power announced that Charles (Chuck) Spears has been named President of Liebert North America. Chuck Spears, who reports to Bob Bauer, Emerson group Vice President and Liebert Worldwide President, has relocated from Belgium, where he managed an Emerson business, and begins his new role effective immediately.

Spears spent the past four years as President of Emerson Climate Technologies – Europe, a leading provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions for residential, industrial and commercial applications. Prior to that post, he spent nearly 25 years with Emerson’s Copeland Corp., culminating with his promotion in 1999 to President of Copeland – Asia, where he oversaw the opening of a state-of-the-art research and development center and manufacturing plant in China.

"Chuck brings a proven record of success from his previous positions in Europe and China to his role as President of Liebert North America," said Bauer. "Under his leadership, Emerson Climate Technologies experienced significant growth in Europe. He will be a great asset to Liebert as we manage a fast growing business and strive for operational excellence."

"I look forward to coming back to the United States and leading the Liebert North America organization," said Spears. "As part of Emerson Network Power, Liebert has solidified its position as the world leader in business-critical continuity solutions that increase IT system availability, improve flexibility and lower total costs by deploying innovative, proven power, cooling, monitoring and service technologies. The Liebert approach has consistently been embraced by the market, as evident in a customer list that includes every Fortune 500 organization."
