October 25, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

ColdWatt Inc. announced Gregg Cook as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Cook, former VP of Strategic Sales for Power-One, brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing and business development experience to ColdWatt, a supplier of energy-efficient power supplies for the computing, networking, storage and telecommunication markets.

"Gregg is a respected veteran in the technology industry, and his wealth of experience selling power solutions to the server, networking and telecom, and data storage markets will increase our traction with key customers in these markets," said Joe Lamoreux, ColdWatt CEO. "Gregg’s addition to ColdWatt will intensify our focus on Tier 1 IT equipment vendors who are striving to address the tremendously large and growing energy problem and total cost of ownership challenge in data centers around the world."

Prior to Power-One, Cook was CEO of Fast-Chip, a privately held semiconductor company that he led through two product-development generations and three rounds of private equity funding. He also served as VP of Sales and Marketing at semiconductor equipment manufacturer Equipe Technologies, where he grew sales over 200% in less than three years and was instrumental in the successful sale of the company to PRI Automation. His background also includes various sales management positions at Integrated Device Technology and Texas Instruments.
