Cherokee's CAR1248 Selected as EDN Award Finalist

January 25, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Cherokee International LLC (Tustin, CA), a manufacturer of switch-mode power supplies, announced that the company has been selected as a finalist for this year's EDN Innovator/Innovation Awards, which honor the people, products and technologies that have shaped the semiconductor industry over the past year. Cherokee International's CAR1248 front-end/rectifier was selected in the power supplies category for the reason that the CAR1248 provides power density of 19 W/in³ — supplying up to 4,800 W N+1 redundant or 6,000 W.

"We are pleased and proud to be among the finalists for the EDN Innovation Award as it is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the entire Cherokee International team," said Cherokee International President and CEO Jeff Frank.
