October 30, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Cellex Power Products Inc. (Vancouver, BC) announced the successful completion of its third field trial demonstrations at customer locations across the US and Canada. The Cellex fuel cell power units successfully operated in all locations, providing enhanced lift truck performance, including indoor refueling and compliance with all safety codes and regulations.

Cellex President and CEO Chris Reid commented, "Our field trials program has been a tremendous success as we have validated that industrial lift trucks will be the early adaptors of fuel cells due to a strong customer value proposition. We have been focused on lift trucks since our inception in 1998 and the results of the most recent field trials reinforce this."

The Cellex power units are designed to replace industrial lead-acid battery and charger systems, and to deliver enhanced power to customers who operate large fleets of lift trucks in distribution centers. Cellex Power will unveil its next-generation fuel cell power unit for lift trucks at the 2003 Fuel Cell Seminar, in Miami Beach, FL, from November 3-7, 2003.
