Vertiv™, formerly Emerson Network Power, today announces a joint effort with SBE Inc.. Vertiv's adoption of SBE's Power Ring Film Capacitor™ technology will give customers with a Liebert® Series 600T/610 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit a replacement option that significantly extends service life when compared to traditional capacitor technology.
“We have worked with SBE for more than 18 months to ensure their patented technology is right for critical data center applications,†said Dave Saliaris, vice president of global lifecycle management, Vertiv. “The result will be an upgrade program using the latest capacitor technology to enhance performance and reliability of input and output filters in select UPS systems.
Only available through Vertiv, this capacitor upgrade service is for Liebert Series 600T/610 UPS units with 625kVA, 750kVA, and 1MVA capacities. It is ideally suited for those units that are 10 years old or newer. These premiere capacitors run longer and at lower operating temperatures, extending service life for a lower total cost of ownership.

Vertiv expects to launch its capacitor upgrade program in the Americas later this year. Vertiv and SBE will continue to work together in educating customers on how this new capacitor technology is beneficial for critical data center applications.
