BI Technologies Reports Operations Expansion

July 17, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

The Electronic Components Division of BI Technologies (Fullerton, CA) recently invested more than $3.0 million in the expansion of its Fullerton microcircuits facility to respond to the recent demands for military-grade chip and wire hybrids. The company has doubled the size of the factory to include a 5,500ft² class 10,000 clean room with class 100 operational areas, and has invested in high-speed automated equipment for all microcircuit operations.

"This operations expansion enables us to better serve critical hybrid markets as the demand for this technology steadily increases," explained Brian Kane, BI Technologies director, product development, microcircuits and fixed films. "With new equipment in place to secure a fully automated microcircuits line from substrate screening to testing, and an increased facility capacity to benefit product flow and efficiency, we are better able to respond to our customer’s needs for high-quality, cost-effective products."
