Arrow Electronics Launches First Cloud-based Chinese Lighting Design Platform
Arrow Electronics, Inc. announced the launch of what it says is the industry’s first cloud-based Chinese lighting design platform, an integrated application platform that enables electronics engineers to design complete LED lighting solutions in a convenient and intuitive online environment. Now available in simplified Chinese in addition to English, the Arrow Lighting Designer offers advanced tools and solutions tailored to customers’ applications, with built-in design guidelines providing quick results and access to a wide portfolio of LED products from leading component manufacturers.
Arrow Lighting Designer offers a comprehensive design platform that combines multiple modules for selecting and optimizing lighting sources, adding secondary optics, defining power supply parameters, laying out a design, and selecting heatsinks and connectors. Each module can be used independently to design and analyze individual components, or in tandem to develop a complete solution. In addition to valuable LED product and system data, the tool offers several LED system options, such as the "recommended," "highest efficacy" and "least expensive" solutions. After selecting an option, users can see suggested alternatives and estimated returns on investment for transitioning from traditional lighting. The integrated environment also enables users to confirm compatibility and eliminate potential conflicts between the solutions designed for individual modules. Users can download their designs in PDF, save their designs for review later, and collaborate with peers and Arrow field application engineers by sharing their designs. The cloud-based solution is available anytime, anywhere.
