Apollo Installs First Power Plant at Hydrolec

January 23, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Apollo Energy Systems Inc. (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) announced that it has installed a 2.5kW stationary power plant at Hydrolec Inc. (Jacksonville, FL). The unit was designed to provide lighting to the plant in case of grid failure. Plans are to install a 10kW stationary Apollo power plant at Hydrolec in January 2003, capable of operating a hydraulic elevator power system, which will keep elevators running independent of the grid in the case of a grid failure.

Apollo Energy Systems President and CEO Kim Kawasaki plans to offer Apollo Power Plants to all of them. Hydrolec has ordered 2,000 10kW Apollo Power Plants per month from Apollo for its own production and for its customers.
