April 10, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Rockwell Automation Inc. (Milwaukee, WI) and American Power Conversion Corp. (APCC, West Kingston, RI) announced that APCC has joined Rockwell Automation's Asia Pacific Encompass™ Partner Program, which is a product-referencing program designed to identify, qualify and jointly market third-party manufactured products that complement the breadth of products developed by Rockwell Automation's global brands Allen-Bradley®, Reliance Electric®, Rockwell Software™ and Dodge®.

As an Encompass partner, APC will offer complementary products that provide reliability and help reduce downtime to Rockwell Automation's global brands. APC's Smart-UPS® RT and VT, Symmetra® LX, InfraStruXure and APC's Industrial Systems product families have all been accepted into Rockwell Automation's Asia Pacific Encompass Program.

"Because APC products seamlessly integrate into our RSView SCADA HMI package and support other industry-standard network communication protocols, we can help maintain the health and availability of our customers' automation and IT systems," said Rockwell Automation Encompass Program Manager Suzanne Kerner. "The combination of APC's power, racks, cooling and management devices, and our information and automation solutions, gives customers a total equipment and data protection package allowing them to proactively manage and control their complete power and cooling infrastructure from data center to factory floor."
