Alstom Awards Contract to Dynex Power

Dynex Power Inc. (Ottawa, Canada) announced that Alstom Transport has awarded Dynex Semiconductor Ltd. (Ottawa, Canada) a one-year contract worth approximately CDN$3.3 million. The contract is for the supply of mission-critical power semiconductors in support of Alstom's rail traction business. The product to be supplied by Dynex includes specific devices for TGVs, components for new and next-generation propulsion drives and auxiliary supplies, as well as customized devices for maintenance requirements.

Gerard Blanc, deputy president, Alstom Transport, commented, "Dynex is of strategic importance to us as an independent European supplier of power semiconductors. They have supported us throughout a number of years and this consolidates our relationship."
