Agile Systems Intros DC Motor Development Kit

April 01, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Agile Systems Inc. (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) introduced a new development kit for motor OEMs and application specialists working with sensorless motors, which operates with motor voltages from 10Vdc to 190Vdc, peak current ratings up to 45A, and full application software for current (torque) or velocity (rpm) mode operations.

The motor controller is mounted in a heatsink enclosure and is fully potted for rigidity and environmental protection. The controller is connected to the PC using the controller's optically isolated RS232 full duplex connection, and inserting the DPWin CD immediately begins working with the sensorless controller. Agile's DPWin software includes parameter setting, auto-calculating control algorithms, datalogging and current stimulus, loop compensators, and oscilloscope windows.
