AER Energy Issued European Patent for Diffusion Air Manager System

AER Energy Resources Inc. (Smyrna, GA) recently announced that it has received notification from the European Patent Office of the issuance of European Patent No. 0860032 related to its Diffusion Air Manager system. The system also resulted in US Patent Nos. 5,691,074 and 5,919,582.

The US Patents allow for the design of a mechanism for controlling the flow of air into and out of a zinc-air battery during storage, improving the storage life of zinc-air batteries. The company claims that Diffusion Air Manager technology can improve the reliability of zinc-air batteries and could allow them to be applied to a variety of markets and products, including camcorders, cellular telephones, hand-held computers and audio players.
