Aemulus Selected to Test WattUp Wireless Charging Devices

February 15, 2017 by Jeff Shepard

Aemulus announced that its Aemulus Amoeba™ AMB7600 has been selected as the preferred test platform by Energous Corporation, the developer of WattUp®, a wire-free charging technology that provides over-the-air power at a distance.

The Amoeba AMB7600 is the world's first true multi-site, multi-instance RF tester and is designed to address the new wave of challenges in the RF testing world, specifically in advanced front-end RF devices. These devices include a range of categories: RF power amplifiers (PAs); RF filters and switches; Front-end modules (FEMs)

Paired with Aemulus' software techFlow, the RF and dc subsystems-based Amoeba 7600 is an ideal turnkey solution for testing WattUp's three main components -- power amplifier, transmitter and receiver.

"With the emergence and explosion of the Internet of Things (IoT), we also witness a parallel evolution in other aspects of the industry such as RF, cloud computing and manufacturing automation," said Sang Beng, chief executive of Aemulus. "Impressive tech gadgets flood the market every now and then, it is rare that a company truly impresses us with new technology. Needless to say, we are charged up that Energous has chosen to partner with us for their test platform needs."
