October 21, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (ABAT) announced that it has produced two variations of an ultra-thin, small capacity polymer lithium-ion battery with a thickness of 0.4mm. ABAT develops, manufactures, and distributes rechargeable polymer lithium-ion (PLI) battery cells.

GBT employs a proprietary spraying technology to produce a 10mAh capacity battery (0.4 x 15 x 15mm) and a 2500mAh battery (0.4 x 180 x 200mm). These batteries are primarily used in electronic albums and smart integrated circuit (IC) cards. Shenzhen Optoelectronic Technology Ltd. is GBT’s largest purchaser of these ultra-thin, small capacity batteries.
