XPiQ Offers HUL175 Series Power Supply

December 17, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

XPiQ Inc. (Holliston, MA), a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of ac/dc and dc/dc power supply products, released the new HUL175 Series, a 175W power supply featuring quad outputs with two high-current outputs of 3.3V at 15A and 5V at 20A. The series accepts auto-ranging ac input from 90Vac to 132Vac and 180Vac to 264VAc.

A choice of four models is offered with output voltages ranging from 3.3V/±5V/12V, 3.3V/5V/±12V, 3.3V/5V/-12V/24V and 3.3V/5V/±15V. Full power is available up to 50°C with only 18.7 CFM airflow needed for 175W. The series operates at up to 70°C with derating or delivers up to 100W with convection cooling.

Enclosed within a U-channel chassis, the converters measure 6.8in x 3.8in x 1.5in. The HUL175’s 1U, low-profile design is suitable for applications requiring tight space requirements or where insufficient system air is available and a convection-cooled rating is required. Standard features for the HUL175 Series include fully isolated outputs; ac-good and remote-sense functions; ±5% output-voltage adjustment; low line and load regulation; low ripple and noise; and over-temperature, over-voltage and over-current protection with auto-recovery.

The HUL175 Series is priced at $75 for 1,000 units. The series is available in small quantities with production volume available in eight weeks ARO.
