Xantrex Adds Control Module to XMP 2600 DC Power System

September 14, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Xantrex Technology Inc. (Burnaby, BC) introduced a new interfacing control module to its high power, programmable XMP 2600 multiple output power system. Designed to make it easier to control external hardware, the one slot module provides eight digital outputs with seven outputs capable of sinking 2 A each, one floating (dry contact) output up to 2 A, three auxiliary output voltages (+12 V, +24 V and +48 V) up to 1 A each, and three ground pins for up to 3 A each.

The multi-output, programmable XMP 2600 dc power system provides the flexibility to customize by selecting up to eight of 22 different power modules ranging from 160 W to 2.4 kW. Intended for efficiently testing a variety of DUT's or for replacing multiple power supplies, the XMP 2600's mainframe controller software can provide eight channels with different voltage and current outputs.
