Wuhan Debuts PS300DC3D5S-TH DC/DC Converter

Wuhan P&S Electronics Co. Ltd. (China) announced the PS300DC3D5S-TH ultra-small step-up dc/dc converter, which is fabricated on a thin-film technology, enabling it to operate at a frequency up to 500kHz.

The PS300DC3D5S-TH measures 25.4mm x 12.7mm x 6mm and can can convert a 0.9V to 5V input voltage into a 5V output. It also converts input voltages below 3.3V into a 3.3V output. At 3.3V output, the quiescent current is rated at 60µA, while the shutdown current is 20µA. The dc/dc converter is specified for operation from 0 to 70 degrees C.

The PS300DC3D5S-TH is equipped with a low-battery detector, and delivers an efficiency rating up to 80 percent. It is suitable for battery-powered portable equipment, portable instrumentation, portable data-acquisition terminals, personal data communication devices, hand-held computers and medical instruments.
