Wall Industries Unveils ML Series DC-DC Converters

Wall Industries Inc. (Exeter NH) announced its new ML Series adjustable output voltage, high-efficiency, surface-mount, dc-dc converter. The ML Series is the first in a upcoming long line of point-of-load (POL) converters that offers an input range of 3 Vdc to 5.5 Vdc input, and a adjustable output of 0.75 Vdc to 3.63 Vdc output. The converter delivers up to 16.5 W and efficiencies to 94 percent.

The new converter is housed in a surface-mount package of 0.80 in x 0.45 in x 0.245 in with an industry-standard, surface-mount footprint. Other features include tightly regulated output, over-current protection with auto reset, a -40 °C to +85 °C operating temperature, remote on/off, ultra-fast transient response, and greater than four million hours mean time between failure.

The ML Series is priced at $15 in OEM quantities.
