V-Infinity Offers New VF-S150 Series Power Supplies

V-Infinity LLC (Beaverton, OR) introduced its new 150 W, 1U high VF-S150 Series switching power supplies that are designed for a range of information technology, datacom, wireless, and industrial applications. Exact dimensions of the VF-S150 Series are 3.2 in x 5 in x 1.5 in for the u-frame version and 3.2 in x 5 in x 2 in for the metal-enclosed (with fan) version. All models feature power-factor correction (EN61000-3-2 class A), with a maximum power output of 150 W with 16 CFM of forced-air cooling - 6.25 W/in³.

The power supplies are able to provide 600 W of peak power for up to 500 msec, enabling the user to design in a smaller power supply than would otherwise be necessary in certain situations. Voltage outputs range from 3.3 Vdc to 48.0 Vdc on six different single-output models. The units produce full output power from 0 °C to 50 °C. Power de-rates linearly from 50 °C to 70 °C, at which point the VF-S150 still produces 50-percent output at 70 °C. Control and protection features include remote on/off, over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protections. Safety approvals include UL/cUL/TUV/CE/CB.
