Ultravolt Unleashes Higher Power Per Channel on its Rack Mount High Voltage Power System

August 09, 2011 by Jeff Shepard

UltraVolt, Inc. announced that the HV Rack® Series of high-voltage rack mount power systems now has more configuration options. Customers can now have up to 1kW in a single system with any combination on the 1-4 channels. As such, a single channel can now power up to 1kW.

UltraVolt is able to offer these new configurations because its High Power C Series modules now have a new enhanced interface option. Previously, a customer could have a maximum of only 250W per channel (as that is the highest power available on any individual UltraVolt module). Now, customers requiring more power can parallel High Power C modules in a single channel to reach higher wattages. With these new configurations, customers can achieve up to 6kV at 500, 750 or 1000W.

"The new power levels open up opportunities for testing that our customers were never able to achieve in the past," said James Morrison, CEO & Co-Founder. "UltraVolt is always committed to Making High Voltage Easier® for customers, and the new HV Rack continues that promise with this new level of functionality and ease."

UltraVolt’s HV Rack power system is a fully featured, configurable chassis, enabling end users to select and to specify the UltraVolt high-voltage power supply operating in each channel from UltraVolt’s catalog of more than 600 models. This combination provides accurate control and measurement of high-voltage power supply and HV system performance.
