Tyco Electronics Intros New CoEv Magnetics Module

Tyco Electronics Power Components (Menlo Park, CA) announced its new GB4xxx-LP single-port, gigabit Ethernet, magnetics module from its CoEv Magnetics/Transpower Technologies brand, which is designed to help the development of smaller mobile devices such as laptop computers, tablet PCs, PCMCIA cards, docking stations and other low-profile Ethernet devices.

The surface-mount magnetics module helps provide a single-port, IEEE802.3-compliant, transformer/choke for gigabit Ethernet applications. Integrated into the thin package are four isolation transformers and four common-mode chokes, with an option for

four auto transformers.

The GB4xxx-LP is available in tube or tape-and-reel packaging for compatibility with high-volume manufacturing. Pricing is $1.40 in quantities of 100,000. Samples are available now and delivery is four to six weeks ARO.
