Transitronix Unveils TCW-K5 Series DC-DC Converters

Transitronix (Ronkonkoma, NY) unveiled its new TCW-K5 Series dc-dc converters, housed in a compact 1.08 in x 1.08 in package, that provide up to 5 W of power, 1,000 V of isolation, and has the same pin-out and pin-spacing as the standard 1 in x 2 in package. The wide (2:1) input devices accept inputs of 9 Vdc to 18 Vdc, 18 Vdc to 36 Vdc, or 36 Vdc to 72 Vdc, and provide dual outputs of ±5 Vdc, ±9 Vdc, ±12 Vdc, or ±15 Vdc.

Features include short-circuit protection, 30 mVp-p ripple, 1,000 Vdc isolation, an extended operating temperature range of -40 °C to +71 °C, and a PC board footprint of only 1.166 in².
