TRACOPWER Adds Small 15W DC-DC Converter Modules

TRACOPOWER announced the THN-15 series – its latest generation of dc-dc converter modules. The products with 15W output power come in a encapsulated, shielded metal package with dimensions of only 1.0 x1.0 x 0.4" which is said to set a new benchmark for isolated 15W converters.

20 Models are available with 2:1 or 4:1 wide input voltage range and precisely regulated single output voltages of 3.3, 5.0, 12 or 15Vdc. What is described as an advanced circuit design provides high efficiency up to 88% which allows an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C (with derating).

Further features include remote On/Off, trimmable output voltage, output OVP and 1500Vdc I/O-isolation. Typical applications for these converters are mobile equipment, instrumentation , distributed power architectures in communication and industrial electronics, everywhere where board space is limited.
