TRACOPOWER Offers New 1A Switching Regulators

TRACOPOWER introduced the new TSR-1 series of 1 A switching regulators which are described as drop-in replacement for inefficient 78XX series linear regulators.

The TSR-1 series consists of 9 models offering 4.75 – 32 Vdc input ranges and output voltages of 1.5 – 15Vdc and 1A output current. High efficiency operation up to 96% allows full load operation up to +60°C ambient temperature without need of any heatsink or forced cooling. The TSR-1 switching regulators provide other significant features over linear regulators including: better output accuracy; lower stand-by current; and no requirement of external capacitors. The wide input voltage range up to 32Vdc and allow direct operation from a 24Vdc bus voltage. The company states that the high efficiency and low stand-by power consumption make the regulators a suitable solution in battery-powered applications.

The TSR-1 products are in full production with deliveries from stock to 6 weeks. Pricing starts at $5.50 for 1000 pieces.
