Topin Battery Debuts LifeTester Battery Charger
Topin Battery Ltd. (Hong Kong) announced its new LifeTester, which is a compact, easy-to-use instrument for testing rechargeable 12V batteries with capacities up to 65Ah. Unlike ordinary testers, which only measure static criteria, this tester measures internal conductivity — a key indicator of battery health and life.
The conductivity value, expressed in Mhos, is compared to an adjustable Mhos reference setting that is stored in the equipment. The test results are displayed as a percentage of the Mhos reference setting. If the results are below 70 percent, the battery should be replaced.
The LifeTester is powered by the battery under test. It displays the reference setting, voltage rating, ambient temperature, percentage of the reference setting, and the temperature-compensated and uncompensated Mhos reading. The product also warns if battery voltage is too low to test, or if the battery should be replaced.
